Bokeh confirmation cards

Like many others I have also started working on confirmation cards now. I wanted to try something different and new (at least for me) so I decided to try the bokeh technique, and I am quite pleased with how the cards turned out:

I have used Distress Ink on all of the cards to make the background and also sprayed a little water on the background. Afterwards I used a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo together with a VersaMagic ink to make the circles. I matted the backgrounds with black cardstock, which i also used for the banners. The boy and the girl a cut with a DixiCraft die, the banner is from Card Making Magic, and the stamp is also from DixiCraft.

Get well card

In the end of November a colleague came and told us that he had to go to the hospital and get a tumor removed fom his neck, if he didn't he would end up losing his eye sight.  The operation took place on December 1st and a few weeks later he came to visit us, and he was under the circumstances doing really well, and he will hopefully be back at work here in January. He has a great sense of humour, so I made this card:

I used papers from Maja Designs "Denim & Friends" 6x6 paper pad. I have used dies from Spellbinders "Matting Basics" 6x6, Marianne Design (the frame) and a China die for the branches. The flowers are from WOC and my stash, and the halfpearls are also from my stash.

White birthday card

On Marianne Designs blog I saw that they have a challenge, where you have to use only white, so even though I couldn't participate in it (you had to use one of their text stamps, and I only have some Christmassy ones) I made this birthday card:

I have used white cardstock and some vellum. I used the following dies from Marianne Design: LR0455, LR0101 and COL1347 + the stamps from that set to make a harlequin pattern with embossing powder on the numbers. The ribbon and halfpearls are from my stash.
I think it's fun to challenge your self this way and it's a great excuse for ordering some new stamps 😊.

Birthday card for Sofie

Another colleague, Sofie, also had a birthday back in November, so I made a card for her as well.

For this card I used paper from Lemoncrafts "Gossamer Blue" 12x12 and 6x6 collection plus som blue card stock. I used dies from Spellbinders "Matting Basics" 6x6 and "Elegant Ovals", and the banner is a die from Marianne Design. The white and brown flowers are from WOC and the blue roses are from China. Halfpearls and sticker is from my stash.

Birthday card for Grethe

Happy New Year.

Well it's time for the first blogpost in 2018 and I'm starting with a birthday card for my colleague Grethe who's birthday was back in November. 

I used papers from Maja Designs "Summer Crush" 6x6 paper pad, and the image is also from this paper pad. I have only used dies from Spellbinders "Matting Basic" 6x6. All edges are distressed and inked with Distress Ink "Vintage Photo". Ribbon, halfpearls and sticker is from my stash, all the flowers are from WOC.
