Snowman Christmas card

This card is a bit more time consuming but I think it is worth using the extra time on making a pretty card:
For this card I used white and a dusty blue cardstock from my stash + paper from Craft and You's "Frozen Paper" collection, the image of the snowman is also from that collection. I have used dies from Spellebinder - Matting Basics 6x6, Sue Wilson - "Eve" and "Frosty corner" from the festive collection, the Happy Christmas is from Tattered Lace and the pine branch is from Marianne Design. Flowers, halfpearls and ribbon is from my stash. The border around the image is diecut 4 times and then glued together to make an raised frame, I think it adds a nice effect to the image.

Mortens 40th birthday card and cake

My colleague Morten turned 40 just before Easter so we all chipped in to buy him a present and I made the card to go with it:

I have used papers from Maja Designs "Denim & Friends" collection, and the picture I found on Google. I have used dies from Spellbinders - Matting Basics 6x6, Marianne Design - Numbers, Tattered Lace - Happy Birthday and Crealies - Stars. The halfpearls are from my stash.

Since I also make cakes from time to time Morten had booked me to make a cake for his colleagues, so for once I actually got to taste the finished cake :-). Morten designed the graphics for the cake, so it was pretty easy for me. He was not happy about turning 40 - it made him feel old - hence the wheel chair.

The cake consists of 3 layers of chocolate cake, 1 layer of raspberrymousse and one layer of chocolatemousse. The cake is covered with Baileys butterfrosting before covered with homemade fondant.

Card for a double birthday.

My colleagues son and his girlfriend held their birthday party together and my colleague asked me, if I could make a card that represented both of their interests, which were movies (his) and parrots/parakeets (her). I created this card:
I used papers from Maja Design "Ska vi ta en Fika" collection. The squares are handcut, distressed and inked with "Vintage Photo" from Tim Holtz. I also tore a piece of paper and inked the edges of that. I used some cheese cloth which I inked with 2 different inks - "Vintage Photo" and "Wilted Violet" - and put that behind my filmstrip, which was cut with a China die. The pictures of the birds was some I found on Google. The banners are cut with a die from the "Christina Collection" from Card Making Magic. For the letters I used a die from Joy Crafts, Happy Birthday is a Tattered Lace die. The banner, letters and Happy Birthday are all slightly inked with "Vintage Photo". Flowers are from WOC, chipboard from Scrapek and the halfpearls are from my stash.

Pram card for a christening

A colleague of mine resently got her second grandchild, and for her first grandchild I made a pram card (which I haven't shown here yet), and so she asked if I could do that again. She would like the card to be in green, since the little girl is red haired.

For this pram I used papers from Lemoncrafts 'Everyday Spring' collection and white cardstock, and for the pillow and blanket I used paper from a Joy Crafts 8x4 paper pad called ' Baby bloc'. I have used dies from Nellie Snellen, Presscut, Joy Crafts and Tattered Lace. I decorated the pram with lace, halfpearls and 2 splits from my stash. The little blanket is closed with half a velcro dot, and in there, you can write a little greeting.

50th birthday card

A colleague asked if I could make a birthday card for a friend that turned 50. The friend had biked to Paris, so he would like if somehow I could implement that in the card. I knew I had some paper that had Paris and the Eiffel Tower on it, and so I made this card:

From UHK Gallery I used the "Le Bistrot" paper from the "Allo Allo" collection and the small picture with the bike, and from Dovecraft I used papers from the 6×6 paper pad called "Sweet Paris". I have used dies from Spellbinders: Matting basics 6×6 and Elegant Ovals (inside the card), the Happy Birthday is from Tattered Lace, 50 is a magazine freebie die and for the leaves I used a China die. I inked the edges with Distress Ink - Vintage Photo, used flowers from WOC and some halfpearls from my stash.
Here is how the inside of the card look's like:

Lemoncrafts summer challenge - Christmas in July

This challenge was a bit tricky for me since I don't have any of the Christmas collections from Lemoncraft (yet), so I went through all the Lemoncraft papers I have, and realised that it was possibly to use some of the paper from the Gossamer Blue collection. And there is actually also a sheet from the Heart Painted collection that could also be used, since it has the sheet music for Little Jack Frost. But this time I went for the Gossamer Blue.
The light blue wood pattern is from the 12x12 collection and the other is from the 6x6 paper pad. I used some white cardstock to create the little hills and for the trees, which are cut out with Sue Wilson Christmas Trees dies. The squares are cut out with Spellbinders Matting basics 6x6. For the tag I used a Nellie Snellen die, some snowflake dies from Impression Obsession and the wording is a Tattered Lace die. I used some Frosted lace Stickles for the trees and the hills and decorated with some halfpearls from my stash. Finally I drew with a very fine brown pen around the Happy Christmas wording to make it stand out a little more.

This was the first Christmas card this year, I better get started on making some more, since Christmas will be here before we know it.

Boyish birthday card

Back in June my youngest nephew turned 17 and I made this very simple (CAS?) card for him:
The wooden blue paper is from UHK Gallery, and the dark blue and white is from my stash. The dark blue is actually a little shiny, but the picture is not of a very good quality so it is hard to see. I used the usual 6x6 Matting Basics dies from Spellbinders, and besides that I sed dies from Marianne Design (the star), Dixi Craft (the numbers) and Tattered Lace (the words). I decorated with a few halfpearls from my stash.

Now it's official....

...I have a teenager in the house 😨. On June 5th, my oldest turned 13, and so she is officially a teen, unofficially she has been behaving like one for at least the last year. As usuall I made her a card, and since Lemoncraft has a new challenge, I decided to make it, so it matched their criterias.

I have used paper from the 2 collections "Gossamer Blue" and "Everyday Spring", chipboard from Anemone/Scrapek, which I painted with a coat of white gesso and then I sprayed it with some Cherry Red from Tim Holz Dylusions Ink sprays. The small doily is made with a die from Intricut and the numbers I have cut out using a Marianne Design die, and I used some blue shiny paper bought at a local dollar store for them. Happy Birthday is cut out using a die from Tattered Lace. I used some cheese cloth and some half pearls for decoration as well.

I participate in Lemoncrafts June challenge.

Birthday card for our neighbor

This card was also made during my summer vacation (it was a rainy one). I have only used Maja Design paper on this one, and distressed all of it along the edges, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, some butterflies from Karen Marie Klip, the oval die is from Spellbinders and the Happy Birthday die is from Tattered Lace.
