Quick Christmas Cards

Last weekend I went to visit my Godparents, they are both over 80 so they are at high risk when it comes to the Corona virus, but they are good at staying at home and taking care of each other. It was really good to see that they are doing great and coping well with everything that is going on. I had made a little box with some different cards for them, so they have some for different occacions. Among them were some Christmas cards which I will show today. All the cards are made with papers that came with at magazine from Hunkydory - Cardmaking collection.

Other materials used:
Gold and Silver cardstock
White and light teal cardstock
Dies - Marianne Design, Yvonne Creatief, Card Making Magic, China die and Simple and Basic
Stars from my stash
The banner with "Glædelig Jul" is cut from an old Christmas card
and a leftover piece from a braided star

Birthday card for Mette

Today it is my good friends birthday and so I made this card for her:
I usually use a lot of dies on my cards but for this one I only used 2 - the banner and the Happy Birthday, and both dies are from Card Making Magics "Complete Card & Box Die Set 5x7"".
The papers are Docrafts Papermania - "Capsule Collection". The chipboard pieces are from Scrapek and Søstrene Grene (the butterflies). Tuille, laces and flowers are from my stash, the small roses are from WOC.

Last Christmas card for this time

I love poinsettias and snowflakes for Christmas cards, so on this card I combined the 2 things:
This was actually the first Christmas card I made this fall, but for some reason it came on the blog last. For this card I have used dies from Spellbinders - Matting Basics 6x6 and Poinsettias, the background is from Card Making Magic, the banner from Marianne Design and the words from Dan Dies. I have used white, silver, red glitter cardstock and vellum for the flowers. I used 3 halfpearls for the flower centers.

Blue birthday card

Rebecca was invited to two of her class mates birthday party and so I made two identical cards for her to bring. Apparantly blue is the "in"-color when you reach 9, I also remember that from my oldest daughter, so different shades of blue plus white cardstock is what I used for these 2 cards, and since they are identical, I'll just show one:
For this card I used almost all the dies from the "Fancy Nesting Circles" from Card Making Magic. I also used the Spellbinders Matting Basics 6x6 and Marianne Design COL1347 (number) and I decorated it with some halfpearls from my stash.

Card for Sofie

My colleague Sofie finished her education as a media graphics last week, so I was asked to make her a card to go with the present. I choose to make a very feminine card since that is what I love. I used pink paper and paper from Maja Designs "Crea Diem" collection. I have used dies from Spellbinders - Matting basics 6x6, Card Making Magic - banner, China die - leafs on branch and the square in the middle. Chipboard is "Wild flowers #3" from Dusty Attic and they are painted with white gesso and decorated with Liquid Pearls - Ballerina. Flowers are homemade foamiran and flowers from WOC. Other decorations are halfpearls, buttons and ribbon. The text is printed on white cardstock. Here is the card:
For the foamiran flowers I used dies from Nellie Snellen. I used white foamiran and colored them with some old Pergamano pastels in 2 different blue shades. With this card I participate in Scrap and Crafts June challenge - DIY flowers.

Card for a double birthday.

My colleagues son and his girlfriend held their birthday party together and my colleague asked me, if I could make a card that represented both of their interests, which were movies (his) and parrots/parakeets (her). I created this card:
I used papers from Maja Design "Ska vi ta en Fika" collection. The squares are handcut, distressed and inked with "Vintage Photo" from Tim Holtz. I also tore a piece of paper and inked the edges of that. I used some cheese cloth which I inked with 2 different inks - "Vintage Photo" and "Wilted Violet" - and put that behind my filmstrip, which was cut with a China die. The pictures of the birds was some I found on Google. The banners are cut with a die from the "Christina Collection" from Card Making Magic. For the letters I used a die from Joy Crafts, Happy Birthday is a Tattered Lace die. The banner, letters and Happy Birthday are all slightly inked with "Vintage Photo". Flowers are from WOC, chipboard from Scrapek and the halfpearls are from my stash.

Bokeh confirmation cards

Like many others I have also started working on confirmation cards now. I wanted to try something different and new (at least for me) so I decided to try the bokeh technique, and I am quite pleased with how the cards turned out:

I have used Distress Ink on all of the cards to make the background and also sprayed a little water on the background. Afterwards I used a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo together with a VersaMagic ink to make the circles. I matted the backgrounds with black cardstock, which i also used for the banners. The boy and the girl a cut with a DixiCraft die, the banner is from Card Making Magic, and the stamp is also from DixiCraft.
