It's been a long time...

...since my last blogpost. The reason for this is, that back in November we had a water damage, and it did absolutely nothing good for my creative mojo. The repairs are still going on, but at least they are almost done now, tomorrow the last thing will be done in our shower and the last floor put down in our hallway. This means that on Thursday for the first time in 3 months we will be able to shower indoor again. AND we can finally get rid of the toilet/shower wagon that has been standing in our driveway for 3 months. It has not been a fun experience and I would never have guessed that it would take so long, but the floors had to dry for a very long time, before anything else could get done. But now we can finally see an end to it, and my creative mojo has started to come back. I did however make a few things during the last few months, and here is a birthday card I made for a colleague:

A birthday card out of my comfort zone

Back in June my son was going to a birthday party held at a local pool, and since I had a lot of embellishments bought at the local grocery store, I decided to try to use those, even though very colorful cards are not my thing. I like putting on embellishment, but sometimes you buy things that end up just laying around forever because you don't know how to use them, so this was quite a challenge for me. The background paper is also from the grocery store from some 12x12 paperpad they sold a while ago. Here is the card:

As you can see, it is very colorful.
