Maja Design is having a giveaway

Good morning.

Well, we are in the middle of moving to a bigger place, but there's still time to check my favorite blog, Maja Design, and they are having a giveaway, and the price is the Sofiero collection, which is back for a limited time. Sofiero is a beautiful and very romantic collection and one of my favorites so it world be so great to be the lucky person who wins it.

These are the papers:

Aren't they just beautiful?  And I love that they have made coordinating single colored paper for it as well. And if you are the lucky winner, you will win both of the above sets.

Here is where you go, if you want to participate in the giveaway, and good luck:

Birthday card for a colleague

One of my colleagues turned 60 on Feb. 1st, so I made her a very girly card, since she, just like me, likes pink.

For this card I used papers from a 15 x 15 cm paper pack from Studio Light, flowers and pearl ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, the small flowers on the stems are from a local craftstore. The chipboard piece is from Scrapek and is embossed with some cream colored embossing powder. The half pearls are from my stash. I have used to dies for this one, the numbers came with a magazine and the circle is from Spellbinders Triple Tear.

Birthday card

In the end of January one of my friends held a ladies lunch birthday party, which was a lot of fun. For her present I made her this card:

For this card I used papers from UHK Gallery, from the selection Loft herbs, the image with the teacup is from a matching paper strip that came with the collection. I used chipboard from Dusty Attic, which I inked with Bundled Sage Distress ink from Tim Holtz, and then I glued som mica beads on the sprouts. The wording Tillykke (which means congratulations) is from Scrapek, and I painted that one with white gesso before I inked it with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I distressed some of the paper and also inked the edges with Bundled Sage, and the image was also distressed and inked with Victorian Velvet. At the end I added a few half pearls from my stash. I also did the inside of the card with 2 layers of paper and used the largest die from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals (one of my favorite dies) to cut a piece where I could write the text for card.

Birthday card for my sister

My sisters birthday is in March, but since we'll be moving in the beginning of March, I've already made the card for her. I have kept it pretty simple, since I don't know yet if I'll be sending it by mail or hand it to her personally.

For this card I have used papers from Lemoncrafts Gossomer Blue collection, which is absolutely stunning, unfortunately the picture doesn't show the colors very well, I'll try to take a better picture in the daylight tomorrow.
UPDATED Feb. 13th: I took some new pictures and the colors are a little better on these.

With this card I'm participating in Lemoncrafts first ever challenge.
Besides papers from the Gossomer Blue collection, I've used craft card for the card base, I used some lace ribbon and chipboard, which is also from Lemoncraft, and some half pearls from my stash. For the flowers and the blue circle I have used dies from Sue Wilson. The flowers on the chipboard I have colored with a Pergamano pencil and then I used some Stickles, Frosted Lace, on top to make the blue stand out more. I also distressed the Lemoncraft papers and used the Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holz on the edges to give them a more vintage look.
